Update #9
Harris must request Wisconsin recount by 5 p.m. tonight (Nov. 19)
The Wisconsin Election Commission (WEC) completed canvassing for all 72 of the state’s counties yesterday, Monday, November 18. According to Wisconsin ABC affiliate WQOW, Vice President Kamala Harris has until 5 p.m. tonight, Tuesday, November 19 to request a recount in the state.
The presidential race is within the required margin to qualify for a recount under Wisconsin law. However, the petition must be filed by the third day after canvassing is completed.
The WEC said they have not received any indication that the Harris/Walz campaign plans to file a recount. The Badger State’s results are not final until the chair of the WEC certifies them. This must occur by December 1, but certification is likely to occur once the recount request period expires.
Harris faces a rapidly narrowing window to request recounts in other key battleground states as well. Once certification is complete, the opportunity to challenge or request a recount is severely limited, putting pressure on Harris if she seeks to contest any election outcomes.
Without Wisconsin’s 10 Electoral College votes, it would be much more difficult for Harris to overturn the results of the presidential election, even if Trump’s election fraud could be demonstratively proven in multiple swing states. Only 30,017 votes separate Harris and presumptive President-elect Donald Trump, the smallest margin in any of the swing states.
According to CBS, the swing states’ vote certification deadlines for the presidential contest are:
Georgia—November 23
Michigan—November 25
Nevada—November 26
Wisconsin—December 1
Arizona—December 2
Pennsylvania—Not specified
Some states, like Delaware, Vermont, and South Carolina, have already passed their certification deadlines. Florida’s is today (November 19). Harris must act swiftly if she plans to invoke any recount provisions—states typically require such requests within a narrow window after certification.

Donald Trump didn’t just steal the election, he stole America’s future. And it will stay that way unless we do something about it.
